In keeping with my "last day of the month" blogging... These are the lovely ladies I share life with here in Montellano. Bible studies, early morning prayer, and, of course, just plain fun! Friday night Erika planned a "Troop Beverly Hills" party for us! The men picked up pizza for us and then left to do something manly, leaving the Mak house to us. We ate pizza while we made badges for our "Troop DR" sashes. Everything from Best Smile to #1 Auburn Fan to slightly embarrassing reminders like Best Popcorn for a girl who once tried to pop popcorn in an uncovered skillet! We had so much fun being crafty together and encouraging each other! Then we watched Troop Beverly Hills, which I had never seen and thoroughly enjoyed, while we ate... wait for it... GIRL SCOUT COOKIES! Yep, that's right, all the way in the DR - thanks, Sharla! We discovered some regional differences in cookie names (Samoa vs. Caramel Delight, Peanut Butter Patties vs Tagalongs) but in the end decided the cookies are delicious no matter what you call them! We had also planned a bonfire and s'mores, but we had so much fun badge-making that we ran out of time. So we saved the marshmallows for another night - hopefully soon!
